There are a just a few days left before I begin my MIT journey.  My grad school program starts on January 3rd.  I'm somewhat prepared for the cold Boston winters, but being from the south, I don't know if I'll really understand until I get there.  I'm eager to start the classes I've registered for this spring semester .  I may even try to sneak in a class taught by Marvin Minsky on the Society of Mind.  It is not required for my program (or even an elective), but how often do you get to sit in a class and listen to a legend in the field of AI?

The book is due to be released in March.  I'm working on getting all the code samples on this web site before then.  There are over 300 recipes, so there will be a bunch of code (and yes, I'm going to provide parallel Perl examples).  Stay tuned for more!
